Originality is Extinct

When I sign on to this app, it's filled with ‘how to make jillions of dollars in one month’, listicles about why your writings suck and I think it’s lame. I refresh a few times hoping for a groundbreaking, good ole subconscious brain massage, but I get; nothing.
What happened to sharing an individualist thought?
Reading articles today, I catch wind of there being “yes man” pieces, people echoing the same narrative. It’s getting boring.
There’s a self-righteous bug going around, I hate to see it.
While cancel culture is making its way out, I wish there was a way people could fully and respectfully voice their real opinions with no penalty.
Twitter is one of the best social media platforms to date but recently its been bombarded with false prophets claiming to be astrologists, shaming people for not working for themselves, and celebrity gossip.
When it comes to entertainment such as music and fashion, there seems to be repetition from the early ’00s rebranded as chic.
Seeing classic household brands trying to keep up with the likes of fast fashion can cause serious heartache.

It’s upsetting me and my homegirls to see the world has run out of new ideas. But most importantly, it silences those who have authencity to offer the world.
Adult peer pressure can have one questioning if their individuality would gain them to views and numbers needed to excel. It can have you taking classes on self-marketing while pulling you away from your craft.
Appealing to the masses is important, but it makes you question, is the world even ready for innovation?
To be honest, I don’t think it is. Social media has made it comfortable for people to criticize the very thing they couldn’t produce themselves. Yet, there is a population of people that yearn to see how expansive and creative the human mind is. Lately, it's giving copy and paste which sucks.
Being innovative doesn’t hold the same worth it did years ago. Its often found, replicated with no credit to the source. It’s almost like you’re damned if you do, damned if you don't.

What’s the point of this rant?
While numbers will always be important, never lose sight of what makes you, you. You don’t have to adapt to the world. Being yourself should be enough because it is. There is a special tribe out there ready to see you shine and give all you got. Cherish those who see your uniqueness and never question nor make you explain who you are.
I have full confidence originality will make a comeback like no other. I hope those who are ready to start this revolution of not playing the numbers game and simply being great, have the confidence needed in this battle. I hope those who remain true to self, gain a following who is aligned most with what they have to offer.
You are already aligned with all you need.
